New Yarns

Hi folks.

If you think working in a wool shop is all sitting knitting all day, think again. You spend more time drooling over new yarns and wondering what to knit with them!!!!

Here are a couple just in ...

New! - Baby Alpaca

New from King Cole. A beautiful Baby Alpaca.

It has 100m in a 50g ball. The recommended needle size is 4mm with a tension of 22 stitches and 28 rows to 10cm.

It is 100% baby alpaca and costs £4.99 a ball.

Next is Duo Plus from Adriafil.

New! Duo Plus

It has 120m in a 50g ball. The recommended needle size is 4.5mm with a tension of 19 stitches and 26 rows to 10cm.

It is a mixture of 52% wool and 48% cotton and is handwash. It costs £3.75 a ball.

In as well are new colours of Adriafil Knit-Col. This yarn is proving really popular and no wonder. Have you tried it yet?

... and here are the Rico sock yarns ...

As well as the Rico baby yarns, we have chosen some smashing sock yarns.

First off ....

Rico Superbe Cotton Stretch

... this is the Rico Superba Cotton Stretch Print.

Costing £4.99, it has 400m in a 100g ball.

The recommended needle size is 2.5mm - 3mm with a tension of 30 stitches and 40 rows to 10cm.

It is a mixture of 41% cotton and 39% wool and is machine-washable.

Then there is ....

Rico Superbe Santa Fe

... and look at those colours. Magnificent!!!

This one is Superba Santa Fe.

Costing £4.95, it has 420m in a 100g ball.

The recommended needle size is 2mm - 3mm with a tension of 30 stitches and 42 rows to 10cm.

It is a mixture of 75% wool and 25% polyamide and is machine-washable.

Finally, we have ....

Rico Superbe Druck

.... Superba Druck and Superba Print. Again, cracking colours! (Nan especially likes the one on the left because it reminds her of Licquorice Allsorts!!!)

Costing £3.99, they have 420m in a 100g ball.

The recommended needle size is 2mm - 3mm with a tension of 30 stitches and 42 rows to 10cm.

They are a mixture of 75% wool and 25% polyamide and are machine-washable.

(Some) New Yarns Are Here!

We have been waiting patiently for our new yarns to arrive and some of them are here!

Nan is already in a quandry over which yarn to get stuck into first and ths is just part of this order!

So what are you going to go for first?

What about ...

camel

It has 133m of 100% extra fine camel hair in a 25g ball. The recommended needle size is 2.5mm - 3mm.

Or what about Sierra Andina?

This has 133m of 100% extra fine alpaca in a 50g ball. The recommended needle size is 3mm - 3.5mm.

All of these

are available, and we chose the six finest to break you in gently. Three tweedy shades - 092, 093 and 095 - and three solid shades - 22, 30 and 46.

Now, if that isn't enough to get you excited, what about Lana Inca?

It has 100m of a 50% alpaca/50% wool mix in a 50g ball. the recommended needle size is 4.5mm - 5mm.

All of these

Two mixes - 70 and 73 - and two solids - 76 and 80.
