Rowan Milk Cotton

We have just received a delivery of the loveliest cotton mix yarn from Rowan.



It has 113m in a 50g ball. The recommended needle size is 3.75mm with a tension of 22 stithes and 30 rows to 10cm.

It is a mixture of 70% cotton and 30% milk protein.

It costs £4.45 a ball.

To accompany the yarn, there is a delightful book of baby/toddler patterns.



It costs £7.50 and, as you can see, there are loads of patterns to get stuck into!

Nan is just about to start knitting the gorgeous wee dress top second left. A photo will be posted when it is finished.

As mentioned in the May newsletter (below), these are the colours we have in stock of the Rowan Natural Silk Aran.



It has 65m in a 50g ball. The recommended needle size is 4.5mm with a tension of 19 stitches and 25 rows to 10cm.

It is a mixture of 73% viscose, 15% silk and 12% linen.

It is normally £4.65 a ball but for the month of May it is only £4.05 a ball.

In addition, there is another 10% off if you buy a full bag. (Although we normally give you 10% off if you buy a full bag, the discount does not usually apply to discounted yarns or specials.)

It is a mixture of 50% cotton, 45% viscose and 5% silk.

It is normally £3.50 a ball but for the month of May it is only £2.90 a ball.

Rowan Glimmer Print is a stunning chunky cotton mix yarn with gold markings - ideal for summer. Quick to knit up and flattering to wear.





It has 40m in a 50g ball. The recommended needle size is 8mm with a tension of 12 stitches and 15 rows to 10cm.

The content is 50% cotton/50% acrylic.

It was previously £5.25 but now it is reduced to £4.00 a ball.

In stock we have 16 balls of the lemon, 9 balls of white, 20 balls of the orange and 18 black.

In addition we have reduced the price of the Rowan 'A Midas Touch' book which features 13 designs in Glimmer Print. The designs include bags, belts, tops and shrugs (including the one above).

The normal price of the book was £5.95 but now it is only £3.00.

Rowan Soft Lux is a beautiful Aran weght yarn with a glimmery thread running through it - more subtle than dazzling!



It has 125m in a 50g ball. The recommended needle size is 4.5mm with a tension of 19 stitches and 25 rows to 10cm.

It is a mixture of 64% extra fine merino wool, 10% angora, 24% nylon and 2% metallic fibre.

It was previously £5.25 but now it is reduced to £4.25 a ball.

In stock we have 7 balls of the blue, 8 balls of the camel, 13 balls of the purple and 14 balls of the pink.

In addition, we have reduced the price of the Rowan Classic Woman Book 7 which features 18 designs in Soft Lux. The designs range from corsages to shawls, slipovers to cardigans. A slipover can be done with only four balls!

The normal price of the book was £6.95 but now it is only £3.50.
